Abortion Pill FAQs

It is important for your health to understand the process before inducing a miscarriage at home. Here are some common questions about abortion pills. Every woman’s body is different. Take the time you need to talk through your health history with a medical professional and know what to expect in the case of a complication at home.

Note: If you are Rh-negative, be sure to tell your healthcare provider so you can get the necessary treatment after an abortion.

Is it safe to order abortion pills online?
The FDA and DEA do not recommend ordering abortion pills online due to a lack of safety measures.

Is everyone eligible for abortion pills?
No. There are many restrictions, including medical conditions, the type of pregnancy, how far along you are, and more.

How can an ultrasound help?
An ultrasound can confirm the location of the pregnancy, how far along you are, rule out an ectopic pregnancy, and more. This information can determine abortion cost and methods available.

What if I’m more than 10 weeks pregnant?
The FDA has approved the abortion pill for just the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. Schedule a no-cost consultation and ultrasound to determine exactly how far along you are and to talk about the pregnancy options that apply to your situation. You can also learn more about abortion clinic procedures and second or third-trimester options.

Do I need to get tested for STDs before an abortion?>While it is not necessary to get tested before an abortion, we do recommend ruling out an infection that can cause an increase of side effects after an abortion.

STI/STD TESTING

If you think you may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted infection, it is important to get tested. We provide confidential STI/STD testing and treatment .

LIMITED ONSITE ULTRASOUND

We provide free onsite obstetric ultrasounds at our center. An ultrasound can verify a positive pregnancy test result, confirm if the pregnancy is viable, and specify exactly how far along you are. This information will determine which pregnancy options apply to your situation, including abortion methods and costs if you choose to have an abortion.
